The complete collection can be split into as many catalogs a user needs to or wants to. The entries can have a comprehensive set of fields, enabling you to catalog a wide range of information: country, catalog number, face value, date of issue, design, topic, color, perforation, condition, watermark, postmark (type, city and date), purchase date, location, price, market value, quantity, comments, and more. The data fields can be hidden or renamed giving the user customization facilities.
With this kind of extensive fields the search is powerful. It is possible to drill down to very specific items. This search is backed by a powerful reporting mechanism. Besides the 50 odd pre-defined reports one can define anything more specific one may need. Users can control most of the report layout features such as data fields, groups, sort order, columns, fonts, colors, paper size, margins and print orientation. Reports can be previewed prior to printing or saving them in any of these formats.
Documents could be generated quickly for publication on the internet. The statistics module lets a collection to be analyzed several ways. Back up and restore functions available make sure the database is protected at all times. The application has a rich and comprehensive set of features. They are easy to use and fairly intuitive.
Cons: Some means of collecting news about stamps such as RSS aggregation facilities would have been of added value.
Overall: The application is of 4 star level without a doubt.
